Dan L. SmithFacilities ManagerDan Smith joined Divecon Services LP in 2004 as facilities manager with extensive experience in the diving and marine industry. Having already been in the marine industry for more than the 10 years prior, Dan graduated from the College of Oceaneering in 1993 with an AS degree in Marine Technology at which time he began working for Oceaneering Internationals West Coast office. With Oceaneering, he worked on various infrastructure/oilfield projects, deep gas & saturation diving throughout the United States. Dan then began working for Crowley Marine Salvage on various salvage projects from Alaska to the South Pacific. In 2001, Dan founded Pacific Underwater Construction & Inspection Services which operated in American Samoa and performed major infrastructure repair and inspection projects for the American Samoa Power Authority, Lloyds Registry, The Port of Pago Pago, the USEPA, NOAA, USCG & the Samoa Shipping Corporation in both American Samoa and the Country of Samoa as well as worked closely with DAN (Divers Alert Network) and NOAA to train local emergency response and to oversee the care and treatment of injured sport divers in that region of the world. |
